After launching late last year — and selling out in under an hour — BILLY for Sale has revealed a second installment of archive IKEA pieces. The project began sourcing these hard-to-find furniture items five years ago, and particularly focuses on the late 1980s and early ’90s, when IKEA first launched in the UK.

The latest stock release features a mix of coveted pieces alongside lesser known items, many of which were quickly discontinued after underperforming. Despite being relatively unknown, a number of these pieces feature IKEA’s most playful designs. Stand-outs from this sale include the return of the 1994 VILBERT chair by Verner Panton, as well as the 1972 IMPALA lounge chair (designed by Gilis Lundren) and Thomas Eriksson’s TRIVAS seat.

All of the rare and archival IKEA pieces will launch via the BILLY for Sale web store at 6PM BST (1PM EDT) on June 7, with prices starting at £65 GBP (approximately $92 USD). After this sale, BILLY will begin releasing more archival stock on a consistent basis, with future plans to produce original designs to compliment the wider collection.
