New Balance has a handful of stores around the globe where it continuously works to conduct exclusive releases for its barrage of lifestyle models. One of those is Japanese retailer BEAMS which has linked with the Boston sportswear company to fashion special makeups of the 327, 990v5, 580 and more. And this season, the two parties are reuniting to introduce a crispy clean take atop the New Balance 2002R Mule.
This latest installment leans on a minimalistic palette of brighter neutral tones that aligns perfectly with the incoming summer season and BEAMS‘ design language. Base layers are constructed with a breathable mesh and accompanied by smooth white leather overlays, all of which receive an angelic paint job. Small doses of gray appear on the “N” logo borders and the “New Balance Running” branding that is situated on the tongues. Chopped-off rear ends expose the gray footbeds, and these come adorned with a New Balance running logo in a bold orange to reference BEAMS’ signature logo.
Detailed images of the warm weather-ready pair can be viewed above, and you can find them available now via BEAMS for ¥14,080 (approx. $104 USD).
In case you missed it, UNITED ARROWS recently unveiled its latest exclusive New Balance 9060 colorway.
