When it comes to the Met Gala, there are three types of people on the red carpet. There are the ones that arrive in something so intricate and over the top, that you need a few seconds for your brain to catch up to what you’re seeing. Then there are the ones who didn’t really try (you know who we’re talking about!) And then there are the ones who truly put their own unique spin on their ensembles that are both gorgeous and unexpectedly fit the night’s theme perfectly. Yes, the latter is about Jessica Chastain.
When you look through the It Chapter Two star’s Met Gala looks, you notice a pattern: one where she arrives in something seriously chic, and one that you need to look deeper into to understand why she chose that for the theme. (and then later marvel at the uniqueness of it!)
In a previous interview with L’Officiel, the Eyes of Tammy Faye star talked about why she loves fashion by simply saying, “I love fashion and glam as a form of self-expression.”
Ahead of the 2023 Met Gala honoring Karl Lagerfeld with the theme of “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” we’re seriously hoping some of our favorite stars, like Chastain arrive in something gorgeous. (Knowing Chastain, if she does arrive, it’ll be in one of the most glittering looks of the night!)
In hopes the Oscar-winning actress with grace us with a rare red carpet appearance, let’s check out every look she’s worn to the iconic event. Check out Chastain’s Met Gala looks over the years below:
