Italian designer Sabato De Sarno is preparing to take over Milan Fashion Week with his first-ever collection at the helm of Gucci. Expectations are high, set to premiere on September 22 in the Milanese city. Ahead of De Sarno’s debut, Gucci has dropped its Prospettive 1 Milano Ancora photography book, reinforcing the designer’s commitment to the House.
Prospettive 1 Milano Ancora is a tribute to the history of Italian fashion, exploring eye-catching artwork across literature, music, cinema, style, and history. The first chapter details Milan’s cultural heritage, documenting post-war evolution into the 21st century.
The book will accompany De Sarno’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, bringing a modern outlook to past and present fashion ideals. Work by Cristiano Rizzo, Martino Santori, Noura Tafeche, and Valerio Eliogabalo Torrisi are featured throughout, blown to grandiose proportions presented inside an intimate gallery space on Via Fiori Chiari 5 from September 19 to 23.
