Ace Hotel Group has announced its second design-oriented location in New York City, opening Ace Hotel Brooklyn in the vibrant Boreum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.
Ace Hotel Brooklyn is conveniently located near the Barclays Center, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and unique local shops and restaurants including boutique sake brewery Brooklyn Kura and iconic chocolatier Li-Lac Chocolates. The 13-story property houses 287 rooms, a beautifully decorated lobby, an art gallery, and several food and beverage options. The architectural feat was carried out by the hotel group’s long-term partners Roman and Williams and Stonehill Taylor Architects.
Building exteriors are decorated with a custom ceramic mural by artist Stan Bitters, and a custom light installation inspired by the Hotel Okura in Tokyo, while cozy interiors reference the raw studio spaces of the European modernists. Designers made an extra effort to add comfortable workspaces complete with a verdant indoor garden, fireplace, and sawtooth skylight.
Guest rooms take inspiration from influential architect Le Corbusier’s beloved resting place, Le Cabanon, and incorporate floor to ceiling windows, Music Hall turntables, panoramic views of Manhattan, and fine touches bringing together unique artworks, textiles, and fabrics from more than twenty artists.
“The latest chapter in Ace’s long romance with New York, we built Ace Brooklyn from the ground up: every piece in service of the borough’s tireless ingenuity, made to move and breathe right along with the city itself,” reads the hotel description.
