Seema Malhotra, owner of the global fashion brand Forever Unique and star of the Real Housewives of Cheshire, has opened up on experiencing "dark" menopause complications.
Reality star and fashion mogul Seema, 50, appeared on GB News and discussed how some of the menopause symptoms had a big impact on her life.
She explained that brain fog had really affected her at work as she recalled: “We were discussing designs and afterwards I realised I don't remember that design. It's really quite a dark place that you go into because everyone's looking at you and they say ‘hang on a minute, you were in that meeting last week why don't you remember?’
“But I don't want to say it's a negative thing because I think I've learned about it, learned how to deal with it. And it's not a disease or anything, it's just another stage in a woman's life.”
Seema, who was talking on with Eamonn Holmes and his co-host Isabel Webster, also explained how she suffered pain from ovarian cysts for years and eventually had a hysterectomy.
“I kept having these ovarian cysts and I've suffered for like two or three years and had a hysterectomy five years ago,” she said.
The fashion boss and reality TV personality has said that a rigorous skincare routine and a positive mindset have been key to her success.
Seema also opened up on how she has found Real Housewives Of Cheshire has helped her bring light to things she cares about.
“I feel the show has been an amazing platform for me as a female British Asian business woman,” she said of RHOC. “It's been great for me to use it to highlight issues, real life issues because I think people, have this perception out there about having an amazing life.”
Seema is a mum of two sons, Aaron and Neil, and has opened up about her health scares on the ITV2 reality show The Real Housewives of Cheshire after being left in agony from an ovarian cyst, a scan also picked up a lump in her left breast.
The star, who joined the cast of Real Housewives of Cheshire in 2016, added: “I work really hard and I'm human, I just have normal problems as anyone else would so I've used it…to my advantage to help others go through the menopause. I don't think women talk about it.”
