Pregnant Hilary Swank has spoken out on the genders of her twins as she attended the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday 10 January in California, US.
The 48 year old soon-to-be-mother, who announced her pregnancy in October 2022, was glowing on the red carpet of the star-studded event as she donned a forest green maternity gown by Prada, which featured a thigh-high slit alongside black ribbon straps that trailed onto the floor behind her.
She paired this ensemble with some black heels selected by stylist Thomas Carter Phillips, and completed the look with green drop earrings alongside a silver bracelet.
Styling her brunette mane back into an elegant bun, Hilary donned smokey eyeshadow and a light pink lipstick.
After posing solo on the red carpet, the Hollywood actress was joined by her husband Philip, who she married in August 2018.
Philip donned a black suit with a matching tie as he wrapped his arms around his pregnant partner before the couple shared an intimate kiss.
Hilary went on to speak to Access Hollywood about her pregnancy, as she shared: "I'm feeling I'm at a good point in my pregnancy. It's not too much yet. So, [I'm] feeling blessed to be here. I'm blessed on so many levels."
She then recounted how she kept her pregnancy a secret for the first 12 weeks, but eventually had to start cutting the back her trousers on the set of a movie in secret in order to fit into them.
"…thankfully like three days before I was able to tell everybody," she explained.
The actress, who has starred in the likes of Million Dollar Baby and Freedom Writer, continued by sharing how she always knew she'd have twins.
"Since I was a little girl, I was like, 'I'm gonna have twins someday'," she explained. "My grandmother is a twin. And my husband's grandmother's a twin. So it runs in the family. But I just always felt like I would. I didn't know I was going to do it at 48, but here we are!"
When asked if she's though of any names for her twins, Hilary replied: "We're not finding out the gender until they pop out. So we have to have a couple names each."
The pregnant star added she'd have to think about whether she wanted the names to match each other, but added she still has three months to do this – meaning her due date is sometime in April this year.
The Golden Globe Awards returned after taking a break following accusations that organisers, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, had acted unethically and had failed to increase diversity among their members.
This year, the HFPA has expanded its membership and enforced a strict code of conduct among voters. This has led many celebrities to make the decision to attend.
Comedian Jerrod Carmichael is hosting the event, while nominees including Jamie Lee Curtis and Austin Butler are also in attendance.
