Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan suggested that he has now been promised “success”, after supposedly leaving the show due to his “genuine talent”.  Piers, 56, shared a picture of a fortune cookie to his Instagram from a meal at Los Angeles restaurant Chin Chin.

Piers jokingly took a swipe at his former show following his dramatic exit, brought on by the controversial comments he made about Meghan Markle back in March.

After tucking into the Chinese dish, he shared a picture of his fortune cookie prediction with his 1.8 million followers.

The note inside the cookie read: “Your genuine talent will find its way to success.”

Delighted with the reading, Piers captioned the picture: “My first Chinese meal since I left GMB – and this was my fortune cookie…”

Piers revealed in September that his next presenting job will be on brand new television channel talkTV.

The controversial figure promised to “celebrate the right of everyone to have an opinion” during the announcement.

“I want my global show to be a fearless forum for lively debate and agenda-setting interviews, and a place that celebrates the right of everyone to have an opinion, and for those opinions to be rigorously examined and challenged,” he continued.

Ready to hear his voice carry across the airwaves on talkTV in the UK, USA and Australia, Piers added: “We’re going to have some fun.”

Luckily, Piers still appears to be on good terms with his GMB co-stars.

Presenter Richard Arnold cheekily commented in reference to Piers’ lucky numbers listed on the fortune note.

“I’ve dialled the number. Are you ghosting me? #askingforafriend,” he wrote.

Other fans thought the numbers would be perfect to try in the lottery.

Instagram user @lucyemmawiles commented: “I’ve just done those numbers for tonight’s lottery.”

“If those numbers win on Saturday and I’ve got to share it with a load of people I’ll be fuming,” wrote user @tomfrenchasda.

Other fans shared more heartfelt messages with the presenter.

@dmo1946 said: “You already found so much success in so many ways Piers. You are truly blessed.”

“Miss u piers it’s never going to be the same on tv without you x,”(sic) added @catherinewhelandelve.

A number of significant career shifts have been happening for the journalist as, in addition to his new TV show, he has been employed as a columnist for The Sun and The New York Post.

The star also took to social media this month to announce he would be leaving hit show Life Stories after 12 years and 100 instalments.

His friend and former Good Morning Britain colleague Kate Garraway will take over his presenting duties, though she will first be interviewed by Piers in his final show.
