The former wrestler who now goes by her birth name Nikki Garcia gets candid about being overwhelmed for always having to deal with something involving toddler son.
AceShowbiz –Nikki Bella has felt “exhausted for three years” since giving birth to her son, who has a “speech delay.” The 39-year-old former professional wrestler has discussed how her life has been “rocked” since her two-year-old boy Matteo – who she has with husband Artem Chigvintsev, 41 – became a toddler, because there is “always something” to deal with.
“The toddler stage, I’m not gonna lie, has rocked me a lot. I feel like I’ve been exhausted for almost three years, and I’m like, ‘Brie, when do I get my life back?’ ” she told E! News.
“You go from teething to then just getting him in preschool and dealing with sickness, and there’s always something. And Matteo also had a speech delay, so just even dealing with that and doing therapy – so toddler stage has definitely rocked me.”
However, Nikki wishes she could “freeze” Matteo’s current age. She added, “I will say that I wish I could freeze this age because seeing him have his own personality but also having him be all about mommy – and daddy too, but really a lot about mommy – I just want to freeze it, and I want to keep him like this forever. [He] has got his daddy’s sweet soul – I have a sweet boy.”
Matteo turns three at the end of the month, and he had just turned two when his parents tied the knot last August. But Nikki revealed in February that Matteo vomited throughout her wedding.
She told the publication, “He was throwing up. ‘The Nutcracker‘ plays and we’re like looking down the aisle, and I’m like, ‘Where is he?’ And I feel just his hand like this, and my brother’s like, ‘Here’s the rings. Matteo’s vomiting. Just, you know, continue to get married.’ I think I turned white!”
“We both don’t even remember the ring part because we both kept looking at each other like, ‘Are we terrible parents, like putting our rings on and we were just told our son is vomiting in the back?’ He ended up throwing up and he went back to the hotel, and he actually ended up being okay. But I’m sad we don’t have that moment, but it’s okay. We got to see him before.”
