Morgan Wallen remains atop the Billboard Artist 100 list for a third straight week, riding on the strength of his latest LP Dangerous: The Double Album.
Wallen now ties Jason Aldean for the most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart among country acts.
Dangerous: The Double Album has extended its reign at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Top Country Album Charts. According to MRC Data, the record earned 130,000 equivalent units in the tracking week.
Overall, nine songs from Wallen’s latest album figure on the Billboard Hot 100, led by “7 Summers,” “More Than My Hometown” and “Wasted on You” at Nos. 23, 30 and 31, respectively. In the set’s opening week (Jan. 23), Wallen charted 19 songs on the Hot 100, the most in a week ever for a core country act.
The last album to score at least three weeks atop the Billboard 200 and appear on Top Country Albums was Taylor Swift‘s Red, which tallied seven weeks in the top position (including its first three) in 2012-13.
Meanwhile, Wallen has come under fire after being caught on camera shouting expletives and even using the “N-word.”
In reaction to the video, Wallen has been suspended by his label, Big Loud Records, and removed from iHeartMedia and Entercom radio stations as well as CMT.
