Foo Fighters have added more stars to their already star-studded lineups for the upcoming Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts in London and Los Angeles.
The two all-star global events in celebration of Hawkins’ memory and his legacy as a global rock icon will take place on September 3 at London’s Wembley Stadium and on September 27 at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
The newest additions to the show include Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, Alain Johannes (Eleven, Queens of the Stone Age), drumming whiz kid Nandi Bushell, Chic‘s Nile Rodgers, former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and producer Greg Kurstin.
Other acts set to perform at the London show include Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney, The Pretenders‘ Chrissie Hynde, Supergrass, Wolfgang Van Halen, jazz drummer Omar Hakim and members of Hawkins’ hard rock cover band, Chevy Metal and more.
Hawkins died at age 50 on March 25 in a hotel room in Bogota, Colombia, while on tour with the Foos.
The first list of performers announced early last week include former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush, Queen‘s Brian May and Roger Taylor, former Police drummer Stewart Copeland and Queens of the Stone Age‘s Josh Homme. They will perform at Wembley Stadium.
