Lisa Vanderpump is a reality TV star who has appeared on shows such as The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules.

When Vanderpump first became well-known, her children were already quite grown. As such, fans never got to see her as a mother to young kids. However, Vanderpump recently gave glimpses into her parenting style, sharing that she was quite an “obsessive mother.”

Vanderpump is married to husband Ken Todd. According to BravoTV, the couple first met in the early 1980s when Vanderpump was 21 and Todd was 37. They tied the knot just three months afterwards.

In 1986, Vanderpump and Todd welcomed a daughter named Pandora. Then, in 1991, they adopted a son named Max.

Vanderpump is also a stepmother to Todd’s child from his previous marriage—son Warren, who was born in 1966.

Why Lisa Vanderpump says she was an ‘obsessive mother’

For much of her adult life, Vanderpump has been busy with her career. At first, she wasn’t sure how to handle working and parenthood at the same time.

“I actually took to motherhood really easily,” she told Bustle in a recent interview. “I remember saying to Ken when I was pregnant, we won’t be able to do this or we won’t be able to do that. And I remember thinking when they first handed Pandora to me, ‘Well, what am I going to do with this?’ But as soon as I cuddled her, I thought, ‘What would I do without her?’”

However, Vanderpump shared that she wanted to be there for her kid, saying, “I became one of those obsessive mothers. We always had a nanny because we worked in nightlife, but I didn’t let anybody put her to bed until she was 18 months. I was very hands-on. I was brought up without a tactile relationship and very British, so I wanted the exact opposite [for my kids].”

Vanderpump’s kids are both adults now, and some fans might be curious to know what they are up to.

Pandora currently runs a lifestyle brand called Very Vanderpump with her mother. The two ladies have a website and social media accounts where they post recipes, share vacation spots, and give their thoughts on different subjects. They also have their own line of wine. Additionally, as fans of RHOBH might remember, Pandora married her husband, Jason Sabo, in 2011.

Meanwhile, Max is a lot more private than Pandora. He has been known to work with Vanderpump and Todd at their restaurants. However, as reported by Inquisitr, Vanderpump revealed in 2020 that her son is now working with special needs children and living in Idaho.
