Kaye Adams talks about the day her mum died
Kaye Adams, 60, has revealed a “terrifying” experience that happened the day her mum died back in 2018.
The Loose Women star recalled a magpie swooping into her lounge shortly before learning of her mother’s death.
Speaking on her How To Be 60 podcast, Kaye shared: “The day my mum died, I know this is bonkers, she had been in a coma for two weeks and my brother and I had part next to her.
“We had a rota, it was such a punishing experience. I was sitting in my living room, staring at the wall.
“Suddenly I heard this flutter and it was a magpie that flew over the top of my head. It had come in downstairs. I’m terrified of birds, it was a magpie,
“I just looked at it and screamed and my mum died that night.”
Five years ago Kaye shared news of her mum’s death on Twitter with her 90k followers.
She typed: “We are forever indebted to the wonderful staff of Ward A22 @NHSForthValley who cared for our mum Cathie before she passed away on July 29th.

It came more than 12 months after Kaye lost her dad, Duncan, to dementia in February 2017.
Speaking on Loose Women, she said at the time: “It was horrific. He had a form of dementia but my dad was still my dad.”
Kaye’s devastating news follows her own health scare earlier when in 2018 she revealed that she was worried that she had found a lump in her breast, which convinced her that she had breast cancer.
She told her followers on Facebook that as a result of her anxiety, she had been to the doctors regularly to get a check-up because she didn’t trust herself, adding that while she was thankful that she was told she had nothing to worry about, she realised that being too cautious was to her detriment.
