Jason Manford, 40, has taken to his Twitter account to let his fans know he was travelling to London for work, despite having recently undergone an operation. The comedian, whose Like Me tour recently started after being rescheduled, confessed he was “off his t***” on morphine.
In view of his 386,000 followers, he wrote: “On train done to London couple of days after my shoulder op off my t*** on morphine and ready to do an afternoon gig!
“Get them Sunday papers ready, I don’t know what I’m saying.”
Users joked about Jason’s situation as they wished him a speedy recovery.
kidcobbler wrote: “I’ve take daily doses of an opiod-based painkiller (among others) for chronic pain for a few years, now.
“Before this I used to drink a fair bit.
“I’ve been off me t*** since the early 80’s.
“Welcome to the club! Get well soon! (sic)”
Countalan added: “Looks like you’ve been restrained like they do to unruly passengers on flights.
“What happened, did they give you a custard cream with your tea?”
Vickylorna tweeted: “LOL but I feel for you.

Yesterday, Jason let fans know he was “recovering from a shoulder operation” and that he was “having a day in bed” as he asked for film and TV show recommendations.

The comedian frequently takes to his Twitter platform to keep fans updated on his gigs.
Last month, he responded to a ticket holder who had made a complaint.
The fan said he was told that Jason’s September 5 show in Wrexham was cancelled, adding that the gig did not appear on Jason’s official website either.
Peteburns7 tweeted: “@JasonManford Wrexham cancelled next weekend, what occurring Fella?(sic)
“Was really looking forward to this, luckily also got tickets for Chester next year (providing that doesn’t go the same way).”
In response, Jason wrote: “I just need to point out that I haven’t cancelled Wrexham next week!
“I only found out myself this week!
“I’m trying to get to bottom of it. (sic)”
