I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! fans have slammed the “mean” show for only giving the 11 celebrities four mini apple pies for winning a challenge.
Louise Minchin and David Ginola got their hands dirty in the daily challenge that saw them forage for apples in a wooden pen filled with manure and mud, before they rolled them down a plank and into a bucket.
After several failed attempts, the duo succeeded and visited Ye Olde Shop to claim their reward, apple pie.
As Louise and David opened the lid on their platter, fans were shocked to see four small, individual apple pies.
While the campmates were delighted with their "tiny" portion of apple pie, fans were far from impressed, one tweeted: “All that for four mini apple pies #ImACeleb”
Another slammed the portions as an “insult” to the 11 celebrities who try to succeed in the challenges, before adding: “why can’t they have an apple pie each?!? They deserve it!”
A passionate viewer labelled the show as “mean” for giving such a small serving to the celebrities, especially after working so hard in the trials to win such a small morsel of a treat. They exclaimed: “4 apple pies between 11 people? That’s a bit mean, how does that even work?”
A fellow disgusted fan chimed in: “You’re taking the p*** now mate.”
I’m A Celeb viewers all felt for the campmates, as they got excited about the tiny slice of pie. One penned: “Everyone cheering for 0.3636363636364 of an apple pie #ImACelebrity.”
As others wondered: “Surely the question on everyone’s lips is “Who had the extra piece of apple pie? 11 campmates & 12 bits of pie.”
One fan even admitted they’d finish off a whole pack of six apple pies themselves, when the celebrities seem thrilled with their mouthful.
They penned: “I’ve just eaten 6 Mr Kipling apple pies to myself and they’re excited at 1/3rd of one each.”
Another joked: “Mr Kipling hasn’t made enough apple pies for campmates.”
As the campmates returned to the castle, Ant and Dec revealed that they had all been kept in social isolation and cut off from the outside world without their phones, internet or TV.
However, it’s unclear what the campmates were able to eat and drink during their period of quarantine.
One fan questioned: “4 tiny apple pies amongst them all but it’s ok cos they were all having a buffet in the house the last few days right?!”
