With celebrity clientele, a massive Instagram following and steaks wrapped in gold, you wouldn't expect a meal at Salt Bae's new Knightsbridge restaurant to be cheap. But fans have been shocked at just how expensive meals at the restaurant have cost.
Gemma Collins was one celebrity client at Nusr-Et Steakhouse London who said she felt "sick" after spending so much money on her date night meal with boyfriend Rami Hawash.
She explained on her podcast: "I have to give the ambience of the restaurant, the experience, a 10 out of 10.
“The bill was another situation, I was in utter shock. But you have to weigh these things up, the press reported that my steak cost £700, if only they knew.
“I wish it cost £700. It actually cost £1,450.”
Fans online were also shocked when a bill from the new celeb haunt was shared online and showed a Coca-cola cost £9 and a Tomahawk steak at £630.
One Twitter user quipped: "I find salt bae very attractive I'm afraid. Any man who can swindle people out of £600 for bad steak on a Tesco baguette has a certain jenny say qwah."
"With that price I can buy a full grown cow and feed the family for a year," another wrote.
Part of Salt Bae's appeal is his huge Instagram following – he's amassed over 39 million followers on Instagram. It all started back in 2017 when a video of him performing his unique seasoning technique went viral and part of the expense of going to Salt Bae's restaurants therefore seems to be to experience this chef's unique skills in real life.
Since becoming something of a household name, Nusret has taken his steakhouse international and now boasts a whopping 15 branches, with his first UK one only just opening in West London's fancy Knightsbridge.
High quality meat and unusual ingredients also make up part of the restaurant's charm – with one cut of meet being served in gold leaf.
Nusr-Et's online menu shows you all of the mouth-watering options available, including Beef Tenderloin, Nusr-Et Spaghetti, New York Steak, Nust-Et Kobe, Heart-Shaped Meatballs, and even traditional Turkish dessert, Baklava. However, the prices online are no where to be seen.

As expected, a luxury location comes a luxury pricetag, but at £100 a burger, £630 for a Tomahawk steak, £25 for a starter and a whopping £11 for a can of Red Bull – most of us would need to save up for a visit.
