Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest wore their Monday’s best for the Live With Kelly and Ryan: After Oscar Show.

On March 28, the ABC daytime TV talk show aired its annual special dedicated to the Academy Awards. In honor of this year’s ceremony, Kelly wore a metallic lavender gown with puff sleeves and tiered frills. Ryan walked down their in-studio red carpet dressed in a velvet black and navy suit. The American Idol host completed his look with a black bowtie.

However, Live fans couldn’t help but notice Kelly debuted a hair change. Instead of her usual shoulder-length, wavy blonde hair, the former actress strutted out on to the show’s stage with a high bun and bangs. Subtle hair pieces perfectly framed her face. Kelly’s new hairdo was captured in a slow-motion Instagram video in which both she and Ryan showed off their Oscar-worthy outfits.

After seeing the clip, many Live fans immediately had tons to say about Kelly’s hairstyle. “How gorgeous you look! Love the bangs!” one person wrote. “The bangs look stunning! 😍,” another added. “The bangs are 🔥🔥🔥,” a different fan said.

What’s more, many also couldn’t get enough of Ryan’s dapper look and the special episode itself. “You both look amazing.❤️🌹,” a follower commented. “Handsome and beautiful!! 😍,” someone else wrote. “I just love the Oscars After Show. It’s incredible and so much fun,” another said.

For several years now, viewers have looked forward to watching the Live After Oscar Show the next day, which features Oscar winners, parodies and more. Speaking with ABC, Live executive producer Michael Gelman revealed that the TV special comes together within hours before it airs because it’s based on what happens at the Academy Awards. Neither Kelly, Ryan nor the production team know what to expect on the day of and this element of surprise keeps everyone on their toes.

Still, they keep wowing us with their fashion, interviews and skits each year.
