Spotted in Massachusetts where he owns a summer house, the ‘Sex and the City’ actor stands by his previous statement in which he denied sexually assaulting his accusers.
AceShowbiz –Chris Noth has been spotted for the first time since he’s accused of sexual assault by multiple women. The actor seemed to be in good spirits when he resurfaced in public in Massachusetts, where he owns a summer house.
On Wednesday, December 22, the 67-year-old was seen stepping out near his home in the Berkshires. Speaking to a photographer, he doubled down on his denial regarding the rape allegations.
“You have my statement right?” he said when asked for further comment on the matter. “My statement is out, I rest by my statement I’ll now let the chips fall where they may. My statement is my statement, that’s all I can give.”
When the photographer suggested that Chris is “innocent until proven guilty,” the actor replied, “Well yeah, but you know that’s the way it is.”
The “Sex and the City” star also expressed his wish to reunite with his wife Tara Wilson, who is currently miles away at the family’s gated home in Los Angeles, on holidays. “I hope so,” he said when asked if he will spend Christmas with Tara and their two children. He then flashed a smile and a V sign at the camera before walking away.
Chris wore a black jacket on top of a brown cardigan and gray sweater during the outing. He also sported gray pants and aviator sunglasses with a clean shaven face, while keeping his wedding finger concealed in the pocket of his jacket.
Just hours before he spoke to a photographer, Chris was pictured just outside his summer house. In photos obtained by Daily Mail, “The Good Wife” alum sported a gray beard and grinned for the cameras as he wore a similar outfit he was seen in later that day. He zipped up his black jacket and wore a green beanie while completing his look with brown shoes.
Chris was accused of rape by two women, one of whom said she was assaulted at his apartment in West Hollywood in 2004 and the other at his Greenwich Village home in 2015. He has denied the allegations, saying in a statement, “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false… The encounters were consensual.”
Later, actress Zoe Lister-Jones accused him of being “drunk” and “sexually inappropriate” while on the set of “Law & Order“. A third woman also claimed the actor sexually assaulted her back in 2010, when she was 18 years old.
Most recently, former “SATC” star Heather Kristin wrote in an op-ed in The Independent that Chris showed a “toxic” behavior on the set of the show. His rep has responded to her claims, insisting that he never got a single complaint or report about him acting inappropriately on the set of the HBO series.
