Well-heeled celebrities follow in Camilla’s footsteps by snapping up the Queen Consort’s favourite bunion busters – but with five-inch platforms
They’re the Queen Consort’s favourite shoes – comfy bunion-busters that the British makers, Sole Bliss, claims she has donned more than 80 times.
And now a host of celebrities are following in Camilla’s footsteps, albeit with a more glamorous twist.
Instead of the Queen Consort’s best-loved Valencia pumps, A-listers including Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman have taken to wearing the brand’s shoes – with 5in-platform heels.
When Ms Colman, 49, walked the red carpet on Tuesday at the premiere of the forthcoming BBC series Great Expectations, she teamed her navy-blue lace Vampire’s Wife dress with a silver Louboutin clutch. But peeping from the hem of the sequinned gown were a pair of the £199 heels.
She certainly seemed more comfortable than when she was snapped by The Mail on Sunday at the premiere of her film The Lost Daughter in 2021, barefoot and carrying her £895 Jimmy Choo stilettos.

Her stylist, Miranda Almond, also seems to have discovered the 5in Remy platforms, which come in six colours – including Ms Colman’s silver suede and snake ones.
Sole Bliss claim its shoes contour around bunions, as well as cushioned soles, wide widths, and deeper toe boxes to support arches. They also contain a device to prevent pronation – the inward rolling of the feet.
Actress Julia Roberts wore gold Remy platforms to the premiere of the film Ticket To Paradise in October. The shoes were seemingly so comfortable that she wore them again to the Critics’ Choice Awards in January.
Since then, Countryside presenter Anita Rani and actress Viola Davies both wore them to last month’s Baftas. and Dame Helen Mirren wore a pair to the premiere of her film Shazam! in Rome this month.

‘It is incredibly exciting to see so many celebrities wearing our platforms,’ said Sole Bliss founder and designer Lisa Kay.
‘I believe that all women deserve beautiful shoes, whether you suffer with your feet or not.’
Podiatrist Dr Brad Schaeffer, from TV show My Feet Are Killing Me, said: ‘When it comes to wearing high heels, there are certain things you need to look out for to protect your feet.
‘Look for shoes with a wide toe-box, arch support, a supportive footbed and plenty of underfoot cushioning. These shoes tick all these boxes.’
