Love Island: Meet the series 10 islanders

With the summer series of Love Island on the horizon, one of the stunners packing their bikinis is Scottish supermodel, Ella Thomas. The 23-year-old is one of the five girls entering the villa in the hopes of finding the man of her dreams.

The Glaswegian was named Female Model of the Year in 2022 and has also landed roles in famous music videos and a Hollywood blockbuster.

Before jetting to Mallorca, Ella revealed that she even had a surprising A-list encounter with Brad Pitt.

She told ITV that she met the 59-year-old when she starred in zombie movie, World War Z.

Ella was cast as an extra in the 2013 action horror when she was aged 12.

She explained: “I was 12 years old when I filmed it and got to meet Brad Pitt which was cool.”

The brunette beauty also starred in the music video for Headie One and Burna Boy’s hit track, Siberia.

The new series of Love Island will kick off on Monday, June 5, with Maya Jama returning as host.

However, the series has been embroiled in controversy before it has even begun.

Singleton George Fensom, 24, faced calls to be axed after tweets containing homophobic slurs emerged from 2014.

Additionally, fans found a TikTok clip by George’s ex-girlfriend, which she posted in December, accusing him of being a “narcissist” and “cheat”.

George has since broken his silence on the claims, telling Express.co.uk: “Looking back on those tweets, I was really naive and really young to think that that was the right thing to say.

“It’s obviously not the right thing to say on my behalf and it’s one of those situations that doesn’t show the man that I am today at all, in any way shape or form.

“To be frank I can’t remember off the top of my head when it was, 14,15. Even so, we’re talking near enough 10 years ago.

“So much learning gets done everyday around these subject areas and we are still as humans continuing to learn now of what is right and what is wrong.”

As for his ex’s comments, George said: “It’s really really unfortunate and actually quite upsetting on my behalf that a picture has been painted about me in that light.

“I’m looking forward to going into the villa to prove that actually the things that have been written about me aren’t true and people can see a different light to me.”
