Meanwhile, a petition to remove the Mera depicter in the superhero film has surpassed more than 2.6 million signatures amid her defamation trial against her ex-husband.
AceShowbiz –Amber Heard‘s legal battle against Johnny Depp apparently has cost the actress her career. It was reported that her role in “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” has been cut to 10 minutes as a petition to remove her from the project has surpassed more than 2.6 million signatures.
Bringing up the report was YouTuber Grace Randolph, who previously claimed Heard’s role would be reduced depending on the press surrounding her and Depp. Randolphh tweeted, “I hear Amber Heard has less than 10 min of screentime in Aquaman 2.”
Heard has been under fire amid defamation trials against her ex-husband Depp. Recently, she was slammed by a makeup brand called Milani Cosmetics for claiming that she used its concealer to cover bruises left by Depp’s alleged attacks.
During her opening statements in the trial, which has been underway in Fairfax County, Virginia, Heard’s lawyer Benjamin Rottenborn showed Milani’s All In One Correcting Kit which reportedly has been used by his client to cover up her alleged injuries. “This was what she used. She became very adept at it,” Benjamin stated.
“You’re going to hear the testimony from Amber about how she had to mix the different colors for the different days of the bruises as they developed in the different coloring and how she would use to touch those up to be able to cover those,” the lawyer continued.
However, Milani Cosmetics debunked the claim, noting in a TikTok video that it didn’t release the product until 2017. Meanwhile, the alleged abuse reportedly has taken place between 2013 and 2016.
Depp filed his suit against Heard back in 2018 after she published an op-ed in the Washington Post about surviving domestic abuse. Although the “Aquaman” actress didn’t name the “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” star in the piece, she has accused him of domestic violence since their split.
