Singing sensation Adele broke down in tears on stage at her Las Vegas residency, after seeing a fan holding up a photo of his wife whilst she performed a song.
The 34 year old was walking through the crowd at The Colosseum At Caesars Palace on 27 January, singing her hit song, When We Were Young.
During her walk, she spotted the older man, who appeared to be alone, holding up his mobile phone which showed a picture of a woman, that one could assume was his wife.
At one point, as he held up the phone, the man touched a hand to his chest and looked visibly emotional as he listened to the words of the song.
Later on, Adele broke down in tears as she performed her smash hit ballad, Someone Like You, as she dedicated it to the man she had seen in the crowd.
As she tearfully sang the words: "Sometimes it lasts in love and sometimes it hurts," Adele stopped and pointed at the man, as she said: "This is for you, sir, who's showing me his wife on his phone."
Later, Adele explained: "When I walk through the crowd, I wish you could see what I can see, because, I know I talk to a few people every night, but then I just see little stories of people happening."
Her face then broke and the tears poured as she pointed into the crowd and said: "There was a man, he's just there. Can you see him holding his phone up?
"I think that's his wife on the phone, and I don't think she's here, and it just really moved me.
"And it looks like you're here on your own, and I'm so so sorry. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I'm so sorry I didn't realise what you were showing me until I was already over there."
She added: "I see these little pockets of people's lives as I walk through and it's so beautiful."
Adele herself is currently loved-up with American sports agent, Rich Paul, 41, after going public with their relationship in the summer of 2021.
The pair are thought to be living together in a sprawling £47million mansion in Beverly Hills, LA, which was previously owned by Hollywood heavyweight, Sylvester Stallone.
To mark the momentous occasion, Adele posted a snap of the pair stood on the lawn, with the house in the background, as they held up up the house keys in a celebratory pose.
The post was captioned: “Time flies” and also included a series of other sweet snaps of the pair, who got together in 2021, throughout their relationship.
American heiress Paris Hilton commented: "So happy for you two."
Adele is mother to a ten year old son, Angelo, who she shares with ex-husband, Simon Konecki.
