World Environment Day is coming up on June 5, and to celebrate, Dove just announced one of its biggest pushes towards sustainability yet. To help tackle climate change, the beauty brand teamed up with Conservation International and released a plan to reduce CO2 emissions by restoring and protecting 20,000 hectares of forest in Indonesia.

The Dove Forest Restoration Project, as it’s called, was created with the intent to “protect and restore forests, protect the habitats of endangered species, and improve the livelihoods of 16,000 people” living in North Sumatra, Indonesia. According to an Instagram post shared by the brand, the restoration will be the equivalent of nearly three million trees and will almost double the size of Paris.

“As a global brand with care at our core, we have a responsibility to use our platforms to drive change and positively impact the world around us,” Dove’s global executive vice president, Alessandro Manfredi, said in a statement. “The Dove Forest Restoration Project builds on our commitments to caring for our planet and caring about how we make our products and what goes into them. With this long-term initiative, we extend this care to improving the health of the planet, striving for a more sustainable way of being.”

In total, the Dove Forest Restoration Project will try to capture over 300,000 tons of CO2 from the air and avoid the release of over 200,000 tons of CO2e emissions. It’ll also restore the habitats of six endangered species, including the Sumatran Tiger, the Sunda Pangolin, the Sumatran Clouded Leopard, the Malayan Tapir, the Black Sumatran Langur, and the Sambar Deer.
