You could tell us that weekend one of Coachella 2022 actually happened in the early 2000s, and from the beauty moments alone, we’d believe you. We’ve seen everything from mismatched nail art to baby braids and voluminous ’70s blowouts, but still, one of the most popular makeup trends to come out of this weekend is reverse eyeliner.

“Riverdale” actor Camila Mendes was the latest celebrity to rock the graphic eyeliner trend after it was also spotted on Hailey Bieber. While Bieber went for a complementary blue shade to offset her tank top, Mendes’s orange liner matched the tones in her flowy Cult Gaia dress perfectly for an expert-level take on monochromatic beauty.

Mendes kept the rest of her makeup fairly natural with dewy, satin skin, a barely there blush color, and fluffy brows. She also kept her hairstyle simple and functional, wearing a high ponytail with face-framing pieces hanging loose. Summer may still be a bit away, but Mendes’s makeup look is already sitting firmly in our inspiration folders on Instagram.
