KENYA has it all – safaris, tropical coastlines and good value all-inclusive holidays.
TUI has just launched deals to the bucket-list-worthy destination where temperatures stay hot all year round.
Why Kenya?
The East African country offers some of the best safari experiences in the world, where you can come face-to-face with wildlife.
Kenya is one of the few places in the world where you can spot the 'big five' in their native habitat: lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos.
Aside from the safari and nature, there is a scenic coastline along the Indian Ocean, where you can relax on the beach, test your hand at water sports, or snorkel and dive.
The country is also an attractive destination due to its cultural legacy – you could immerse yourself in local tribes' customs and explore historical monuments, such as Lamu Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

While Nairobi combines animals with culture, you could take a day excursion to Nairobi National Park, visit the giraffe centre and feed them or explore the Karen Blixen Museum.
When is the best time to visit Kenya?
The climate in Kenya varies according to region and season.
For instance, Nairobi has a milder climate with average temperatures between 10 and 26C.

Elsewhere in the coastal regions, such as Mombasa, temperatures range from 23 to 35C throughout the year.
Two wet seasons have a higher chance of heavy rains and humidity. These usually fall between March and May and November and December.
The dry season, which means high temperatures and hardly any rainy days, is between May and October, making it the best time to visit.
However, despite a slight chance of rain, January and February are typically dry too.

Jill Thompson, TUI's head of product: “We know Kenya is a true bucket-list destination, and we have tours and multi-centre options planned for the future.”
“Kenya is such a unique destination, offering customers the chance to visit untouched beaches and come face to face with black rhinos and red elephants on adventurous safari excursions.
“The country is home to more than 20 national parks and boasts amazing landscapes like the Great Rift Valley and the Mount Kenya mountain range. It’s also home to Diani Beach, where white sands are skewered with palm trees.”
What else should I know about Kenya?
In Kenya, English and Swahili are the official languages, making it easy for tourists to communicate with locals.
The Kenyan Shilling (KES) is the official currency, with an exchange rate of approximately 181 Kenyan Shillings to £1.
Brits can enter with an e-visa, which is exclusively issued electronically.
Plus, your passport should be valid for at least six months from the date you arrive, and you should have at least two blank pages left.
The UK government considers Kenya a safe holiday destination. Still, it advises against all travel near the Kenya-Somali border, Eastern Garissa County, Mandera County, Lamu County and Tana River County.
