We're just days into this year's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and we're already learning more about our favourite stars. From Josie Gibson admitting she thought This Morning were "joking" when she landed her presenting role to Nella Rose candidly talking about how she never follows through with things and "always quits".
In more light-hearted conversations around the jungle campfire, viewers were enlightened to learn that Nick Pickard has a special nickname from the Hollyoaks crew. And it seems he's not the only one to hold an unusual nickname as other celebrities on this year's I'm A Celeb also have nicknames, if that's a moniker given to their partner or a unique spin on their official name.
Let's take a look at all the different nicknames that our stars down under hold…
'Ken'
Hollyoaks star, Nick Pickard revealed that the crew on the set of the hit Channel 4 show have given him a special nickname. They call him 'Ken', after Ken Barlow (Bill Roache) from Coronation Street.
Nick, 48, who has played the role of Tony Hutchinson in Hollyoaks since 1995, said: "The sparks call me Ken on the Hollyoaks set and I do see it as a badge of honour.
"It is to me and I'm proud of the show. The show has been on for 28 years and shows don't stay on 28 years if people don't watch it. It's as simple as that."
Nella Rose
YouTube sensation Nella Rose has already taken on two Bushtucker Trails, one of which was a torturing pizzeria eating challenge where she had to indulge in giant mealworms, duck tongue and spiders to name a few. But what fans might not know is Nella's real name is in fact Ornella Rose Hollela.
The TV presenter and influencer was born in Belgium but moved to the UK when she was just seven. Talking about her African heritage, she previously tweeted: "I'm so proud to be Congolese."
'Fruitcake'
Fred Sirieix who is a French maître quickly took on the task of cooking around the campfire for his fellow celebs. During his time down under Fred is away from his fiancée and his two children, Lucien and Andrea whom he had from a previous relationship.
But what's unusual about Fred's fiancée is that he hasn't revealed her actual name, but instead refers to her as 'Fruitcake'. Fred first revealed their relationship on social media in 2018 and have since appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox together.
While Fruitcake is no stranger to the spotlight she has opted to keep her real name and occupation private. Her Instagram account is also @fruitcake_fundamentals where she posts loved-up snaps with her maître husband-to-be.
'Goose'
Another unusual nickname given to their partner is from Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson who openly calls his long-term girlfriend Zara McDermott 'Goose'. In a post for Sam's birthday in August this year, Zara posted a series of snaps and gushed over her "one in a million" partner, to which Sam replied: "Love you goose."
In another post from a luxurious getaway together in April Sam shared a sweet snap as they kissed in front of the sunset with a heartfelt caption which ended with "Love you so much goose." We are yet to find out where the nickname stems from.
