A WOMAN who proudly showed off her engagement ring has found herself trolled – and not over her new accessory.

Marnie was celebrating after her other half popped the question, and shared a video of herself flashing her brand new diamond.

"POV: you're a fiance at 23," she wrote over the top of the video.

And she added in the caption: "Never thought this would be my life.

"Growing up it was never a dream of mine because I’d only ever seen broken relationships.

"But it's true that being with the right person will change your mind!"

However, in the comments section of Marnie's happy video, the majority of remarks were to do with her unusual choice of nails.

As well as the pink talons all having different, elaborate designs, they also were in the style known as 'duck nails' – where the top of the nail is wider than the bottom.

"How the hell u get the ring over the duck nails??" one person wrote.

As another added: "Who's also wondering how the ring pass through those nails?"

"What are those nails how did the ring get on," a third wondered.

"How did you get it on with them nails?" someone else asked.

"Not with those nails ma'am!" another insisted.

Responding to the backlash, Marnie said: "This seems to be everyone's question for some reason.

"I'll show you, but you better stop coming for my duck nails, ok?"

She then showed herself putting the ring on her finger, with the nails proving no issue.

"Y'all are so dramatic the nails are not that wide!" she added in the caption.

Others also pointed out that she appeared to have the ring on her right hand instead of her left.

However, not everyone hated Marnie's manicure.

"I swear Marnie is the only female who can pull off duck nails!" one wrote.

"You got your nails done at the right time," another added.

"Let me go and do my nails first!" a third joked.

"Someone might propose soooon!"

"I want try this style of nail, but scared it won’t look good on my skinny hand," someone else wrote.

With Marnie replying: "Girl my fingers are skinny af too… take the risk!"

In another video, she shared a closer look at her ring, as she added: "He picked it out all by himself, he done so well.
