Do you regularly clean your washing machine?

Many Brits mistakenly believe that they don’t need to clean their washing machine because it runs with soap and water.

However, if you don’t make sure to wash it then you could be left with disgusting black mould.

The fungus can make your machine, and clothes, smell damp.

Luckily, a Mrs Hinch fan has has shared her clever solution to washing machine mould.

Do you clean your washing machine regularly?

And, it only costs £2!

A woman posted some before-and-after snaps in the Facebook group “Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips”, reports The Sun.

She wrote: “I feel disgusted and embarrassed to post this.

"But needed to show the results of using this mould spray I found in Home Bargains – I was shocked by the results!"

The mum said that she used Kilrocks Mould Spray, which you can buy from Home Bargains, and it did the job.

She’d tried multiple products, but nothing had worked.

She said: “The mould went pretty much straight away – even though it said to leave for 30 minutes!

"The smell from the bottle is really strong but at least it has cleared the mould."

The spray can also be used on tiles and walls – it’s especially useful for annoying sealant mould.

It eradicates mildew, algae and mould.

The Facebook poster shared some disgusting photos of her washer drawer.

It was full of slimy mould.

Luckily, by the end of her cleaning spree the machine was sparkling.

And, fellow cleaning-enthusiasts were keen to nab themselves the spray.

One person said: “Great! I am giving this a go.

“Tried everything in mine. Thanks for sharing."

“Fabulous, I need to do this,” added another.

A third wrote: “Great job!

“Thank you for helping someone else who has the same problem.”
