Royal chefs have released recipes to the general public of food they served to the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cambridge over the years, so royal fans can emulate their diets. The following royals eat certain things each day, and now royal watchers can learn how to eat like a member of the Royal Family.

Queen Elizabeth II

The Queen is currently 95 years of age, and while the secret to her long life is unknown, her diet most probably helps sustain her good health.

Former royal chef Darren McGrady has said the Queen always begins her day with an Earl Grey tea with some biscuits.

For breakfast, some of her favourites are cereal, yoghurt, and toast and marmalade.

In the book ‘Dinner at Buckingham Palace’, former royal servant Charles Oliver said the Queen also likes to have fish for breakfast.

At lunchtime, she reportedly loves some Dover Sole with wilted spinach or courgettes.

The Queen enjoys a healthy dinner at the end of a long hard-working day of royal engagements.

According to Darren McGrady, “for a main course, she loved things like Gaelic steak, fillet steak with a mushroom whisky sauce, especially if we did it with venison”.

“We used a repertoire of dishes, mainly British and French food. We cooked a lot of traditional French food like halibut on a bed of spinach with a Mornay sauce,” he added.

Prince Charles and Camilla

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are invested in living a sustainable life and eating a healthy and nutritious diet.

The royal couple love to enjoy fresh produce, as they have their own chickens at Highgrove, their Gloucestershire residence.

Therefore, according to royal reports, their breakfast usually consists of fresh eggs each morning.

On a visit to Singapore, Camilla discussed the importance of eating healthy.
According to royal sources, she loves to consume as many healthy fats as she likes, which is why her lunch usually consists of fresh organic salads and fish.

Former royal chef, Carolyn Robb revealed the couple were always very “thrifty and economical.

“If we made roasted lamb and there were leftovers, we’d probably go and make shepherd’s pie the next night.”

The Duchess of Cambridge

The mother-of-three Kate Middleton is undoubtedly one of the fittest royals.

Although she is always busy with her royal and motherly responsibilities, she still manages to look her best in public.

According to reports, the Duchess’s favourite breakfast consists of a combination of kale, spirulina, matcha, spinach, romaine, coriander, and blueberries to make a healthy morning drink.

She also reportedly loves a bowl of porridge to begin the day in the healthiest way possible.

Both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are big fans of sushi, which Prince William revealed when he and Kate visited Japan House London and met Japanese chef Akira.

“Very impressive,” the royal said as he ate his salmon sashimi.
