Author and CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin made headlines for all the wrong reasons on Oct. 19, when it was reported that he exposed himself during a recent Zoom conference call with his colleagues.

Toobin, who also writes for the New Yorker, was suspended from the publication while it “investigates the matter.” It was also announced that the CNN on-air personality would take a leave of absence from the network, but there is no word on when he will return to his position.

Since news of the incident broke, there have been questions about Toobin’s professional and private life. Here’s more on who he’s married to, his extramarital affair, what his net worth is, and why O.J. Simpson just gave his thoughts on the journalist’s suspension.

Toobin’s statement following his suspension, O.J. Simpson weighs in

A spokesperson for CNN said of the analyst’s leave of absence, “Jeff Toobin has asked for some time off while he deals with a personal issue, which we have granted.”

Toobin later responded to his suspension from the New Yorker via Vice, which reported the news on Monday.

The legal expert stated that he “believed I was not visible on Zoom. I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video.” He also said, “I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends, and co-workers.”

Toobin has not posted on his Twitter account for several days but someone who did take to social media to post about his behavior is O.J. Simpson. Toobin authored the book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson, which was adapted into a popular FX television series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

Toobin had a highly-publicized affair while married to his wife

In his statement to Vice, Toobin mentioned his wife and children. He has been married to his college sweetheart, Amy Bennett McIntosh, since 1986 and they have two adult children. Toobin also has another child with his ex-mistress.

The New York Daily News reported that Toobin has an extramarital affair with fellow lawyer and writer Casey Greenfield, the daughter of CBS analyst Jeff Greenfield, in 2008.

Greenfield gave birth to a son in 2009 and a DNA test proved that Toobin was the father.

What is Toobin’s net worth?

Toobin attended Harvard for undergraduate studies and Harvard Law School for his J.D. He freelanced for The New Republic while he was a law student.

He later worked as a law clerk and served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Brooklyn. He began working at The New Yorker in 1993 and became a TV legal analyst for ABC three years later. He has worked at CNN since 2002. Toobin also authored several books.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, he has a net worth of $10 million.
