We are 38, married for nine years, with two lovely daughters. We never argue but it hit home on Valentine’s Day that we never have nights out now.
Most years the kids stay with grandparents and we get a takeaway but this year she went to the gym. I fix up weekends away, help in the house and I am a hands-on dad.
Nothing changes, even if I speak to her about my worries. I am at an all-time low but would hate to leave my family.
DEIDRE SAYS: Don’t risk the trust between you by checking her phone. It is never too late to make changes. Surprise her with a dinner date or a night away so you can start to reconnect as a couple not just as Mum and Dad.
