Here’s what’s ahead in Neighbours.
David and Aaron get huge news
David and Aaron have been fighting for the chance to have their own child, and for a moment it seems like their fostering dreams are within reach. But only for a nanosecond before Aaron goes and ruins it when he confronts the assessor over her probing questions. After his outburst they’re convinced their dreams are dashed.
Later, they’re shocked and elated to receive a call telling them everything is ok and they’ll be getting a child. But their dreams come crashing down, it’s not the two-five-year-old they asked for, it’s a 13-year-old boy. Emmett arrives and the couple immediately struggle. They agree to take him on for a week until he can be placed elsewhere, but they screw up everything when he overhears them complaining that they don’t want him. Feeling rejected, he runs away. Have they fallen at the first parenting hurdle?
Toadie goes in search of Dee’s father – but will it end in tears?
Toadie gets wind of the fact that Dee has decided to halt the search for her dad. Still missing her and regretting their breakup, Toadie decides to take matters into his own hands and hires a private investigator to look into Dee’s father. But she’d given up the search for a reason and Toadie is meddling where it’s not wanted. Is he about to open a huge can of worms?
Sheila puts a stop to Roxy and Kyle
Sheila wants only the best for her grandson and in her eyes that’s not Roxy. She tells Kyle as much when she learns about the pair’s history, although luckily Kyle is hellbent on making up his own mind. But Sheila isn’t about to let this happen and takes matters into her own hands, secretly taking action to stop her golden boy from making a mistake. Roxy later finds out that Sheila has a seriously low opinion of her and decides she won’t let it stop her going for it with Kyle, so she heads to The Waterhole to tell Kyle how she feels. But when she arrives she finds Kyle seemingly on a date. Did Sheila set this up? Has she struck again?
Andrea uses Dee to escape prison
Andrea wants out of prison and she’s putting plans in place to use Dee to do it. Toadie and Dee are still smarting from her breakup, but Dee is distracted when she meets a nice prison guard named Owen. Little does she know he is under her sister’s wing and part of an evil plan. Dee is too naive to see she is being manipulated. She later bumps into Owen again in the café, an exchange which is seen by a jealous Toadie. Coincidence, or did Owen seek her out? Either way it all plays right into Andrea’s plan as later she puts the wheels in motion to make her escape using an unwitting Dee, finds herself knocked out in the process.
Karl and Susan hit by Olivia shock
Karl and Susan have been having a tough time of things of late and they could really do without any more down turns of fortune. Unlucky for them, Olivia is still in their lives and about to cause even more mischief. The Writers’ Festival is about to hit Lassiters and will feature the launch of a book – it’s all being kept hush hush but Terese gets nosey and takes a look – only to discover it’s written by Olivia and contains details that are set to rock Karl and Susan’s world. She tells the couple, who are horrified and decide to confront Olivia. Can the couple take this fresh devastation?
