Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew have remained on good terms since their divorce in 1996. In fact, their close friendship sparked speculation amongst many fans last month, after they jetted to Bahrain to enjoy the Bahrain Grand Prix with their eldest daughter Princess Beatrice, 30, and her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 35, who is also known as Edo. Amid the excitement of many wondering whether the York duo would get back together, a spokesperson for Sarah confirmed that the pair remained as good friends.
Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew both took to Instagram yesterday
Yesterday, both Sarah and Prince Andrew, both 59, took to Instagram, after their youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, 29, attended the Royal Maundy Service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
While the captions may have differed, the clearly very proud parents both shared their delight about the outing.
Of all the pictures available from the event, Sarah and Prince Andrew opted to post the same snap.
It showed Princess Eugenie standing beside Queen Elizabeth II at the church, as well as amongst a number of children and church figures.
Beside the upload, Sarah, who is sometimes nicknamed Fergie, wrote: “So proud of Her Majesty and Eugenie at the Maundy Thursday Service at St. George’s Chapel today @princesseugenie #MaundyThursday #Easter.”
Meanwhile, the caption on the official Instagram for the Duke of York read: “Today @princesseugenie joined The Queen for the annual Royal Maundy Service, which took place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
“At the Service, Her Majesty distributed Maundy money to 93 men and 93 women – one for each of The Queen’s 93 years.
”The 93 recipients have been recommended by clergy and ministers of all denominations – in recognition of their service to the church and to the local community.”
Many fans rushed to comment on the uploads, with one person telling Sarah: “We are proud of you too @sarahferguson15 and The Duke of York, Prince Andrew. Job well done. God Bless you all.”
Another person penned: “She looks so much like her father! Happy to see her working with her Grandmother.”
“Princess Eugenie looks sooo beautiful !! The Queen is so strong,”(sic) commented a third.

A fourth insisted: “Princess Eugenie should be a full time Royal. She’s just awesome.”
Should Sarah and Prince Andrew ever decide to rekindle their romance, a recent change to the Royal Family means that there’s no reason to stop them from getting married again.
A royal act dating back to 1772 means that the Queen has to consent to the marriage of those who are the first six people in line to the British throne.
Until last year, Prince Andrew was sixth in the line of succession to the British throne – meaning the monarch would have to give permission for the nuptials to take place.
But, this all changed last April, as the birth of Prince Louis meant that the Duke of York became seventh in line.
This means that his mother would no longer be required to permit the pair to marry.
