The 1.5-litre bottles containing the same amount as in four-and-a-half 330ml cans will go on sale at Sainsbury's from tomorrow . But at £8, it's more expensive than buying a few smaller bottles.
The magnum will look like a large bottle of fizz with a cork so that it pops when you open it.
But instead of Champagne or Prosecco, the bottle will contain Heineken lager.
The bottle will certainly be a conversation piece at a party and will look impressive.
But you can buy the same amount of booze for much cheaper at Sainsbury's.

The supermarket sells 650ml bottles of Heineken for just £1.85 so for £3.70 you can get 1.3 litres – £4.30 cheaper than the magnum.
You can also pick up six 330ml cans for £5.75, which will give you 1.98 litres of lager and you'll still save money.
But the magnum-sized bottles could make a good present for someone, especially as you will be able to personalise a gift box for the bottles at 10 Sainsbury's stores across the UK.
Shoppers will be able to add a photo message to a box when they buy a Heineken magnum on certain dates at selected stores.
Sainsbury's and Heineken haven't revealed when the magnums will go on sale exactly but they will be in stock by the end of November.
Toby Lancaster, spokesman for Heineken, said: “Christmas is renowned as a time for generosity and togetherness, so we wanted to launch something extra special this season for people to share with friends."
Heineken has also launched limited-edition festive packs of four 330ml bottles which contain bow ties that double up as a bottle opener.
They will be available at Sainsbury's and Morrisons stores and on Amazon.
Meanwhile Aldi is selling a £80 massive six-litre bottle of Prosecco called a methuselah for Christmas this year.
If you want fizz for less, you can head to B&M which is selling a magnum of Prosecco for £4.
