Mrs Hinch, AKA Sophie Hinchliffe, has a very tidy home.

The cleaning star and social media sensation has garnered over 3.8 million Instagram followers by showing fans how to follow her example, sharing tips and inside tricks on how to make a house sparkle

Even if the star does share footage of clutter or mess it is only a matter of minutes, or a quick swipe to her next Instagram Story, before we see it transformed back to showroom-quality perfection.

However, it seems there was one area in Mrs Hinch’s home that was letting down her high standards, and the star decided to tackle it on Tuesday.

Taking to Instagram Stories, she showcased her step which was marked with specks of dirt and the paint had worn away.

Over the footage the mum of one explained: “Look at the state of this step in my dining room guys, there is people just walking in and out of here and it’s just gone like this.

“What I’m going to do is give it clean then I’m going to paint it and make it like new, hopefully.”

She also captioned the post writing “It’s been bugging me for a while…”


She then set about scrubbing the step with her dishmatic, but was quick to inform followers that: “Don’t worry I don’t then use this on my dishes beauty of switching the heads”

Next she took her SPh2ONGE cloth, to dry the sud-soaked step, adding “these cloths are amazing”.

Then Sophie took a mid-sized brush and began painting the step a bright white colour, commented: “Anyone else find painting soon satisfying?! I’ve loved doing this!"

Then she continued: "All done so much better! Happy days xx"

She then shared a before and after snap, and it looked completely brand new. She captioned it: It’s the simple things I’m so pleased I can tick this off my list”.
