Meghan Markle is "incredibly stressed" by the public backlash against her, a royal source has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex has faced criticism in the past few months as insiders have claimed she is difficult to work with and even left sister-in-law Kate in tears.
And now there are claims the mum-to-be is "definitely bothered by all the reports and speculation".
A source close to Meghan told US Weekly magazine: "Meghan has so much on her plate, between being pregnant and dealing with the public backlash, and she’s finding the whole situation incredibly stressful."
The insider also claimed that it’s taking its toll on Prince Harry as well.
They claim he "feels responsible for Meghan being so miserable”.
Rumours about Meghan, who one source claimed had been nicknamed the ‘Difficult Duchess’, being dictatorial were further fueled when Meghan’s PA quit after just six months in the job.
She played a key role in organising the Royal Wedding back in May.
Speaking at the time, a source said: "Her job was highly pressurised and in the end it became too much. She put up with quite a lot. Meghan put a lot of demands on her and it ended up with her in tears."
But amid the negativity there have also been positive reports about Meghan, and one insider claims staff actually really enjoy working with her.
The source close to Meghan told Elle.com that the Duchess’s staff actually really like her, and find her ideas and enthusiasm exciting.
The magazine reports: "Meghan, the source said, is anxious to learn about royal protocol and takes her new duties very seriously.
"She’s a quick learner, and she’s receptive to the courtiers who have been providing her guidance and helping her adapt to her new life as a member of the royal family."
