There’s reportedly some drama in Kensington Palace this week, and no, it’s not still about the Queen’s tiaras. According to the Daily Mail, Meghan Markle’s personal assistant has quit only six months after her wedding to Prince Harry, which came as “a real shock” according to a source.
Apparently Meghan’s assistant, referred to as “Melissa,” played a “pivotal role” in the royal wedding, and, yes, was one of the people who had to deal with the Thomas Markle drama at the time (as a reminder, Thomas was blabbing to the press and decided not to come to the royal wedding just a few days before the event, so it sounds like Melissa had her hands full.)
There’s no word on why one of Meg’s key staff members decided to quit, and Kensington Palace has declined to comment on the departure of the PA. That said, if you’ve always wanted to meet Meghan Markle and Prince Harry/work for them, now might be an ideal time to send in your resume…
