April 14, 2019 is the official beginning of the end for Game of Thrones fans. It’s been a whole year since we’ve had any huge battles or genius strategic moves (TY, Sansa and Arya) to latch onto, and there have been virtually zero hints as to what’s in store.
Up until now, the fate of Westeros was totally up in the air, but, thanks to Maisie Williams’ latest cryptic interview, we know it’s going to be much worse than ever anticipated. Joy!
Maisie told Sky News that everyone’s going to be left totally and completely unhappy. Specifically, she said, “I don’t know that anyone’s going to be satisfied.”
So, like, does the Night King actually totally take over and kill everyone, bringing them into his army of the dead or what? Maisie, please just tell us Sansa and Arya survive or convince Sophie Turner to give us all the spoilers.
Uh, Maisie’s feelings aren’t the most encouraging right now, but she also added, “No one wants it to end, but I’m really proud of this final season,” which makes it seem like she could just mean no one will be satisfied because the show is over.
TBH, there’s a million ways you can interpret this, but maybe you should just prepare for the worst? It wouldn’t be the first time HBO and George R. R. Martin made everyone bawl their eyes out. Still not over Hodor…
