The Duchess of Cambridge was left in tears after Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fitting ahead of Meghan’s wedding, sources say.
Kate, 36, – who had just given birth to Prince Louis at the time – was said to be ‘feeling quite emotional’, according to an insider.
It comes amid rumours of a rift between Meghan, 37, and Kate, who are described being ‘very different people’ who ‘don’t really get on’, following the announcement that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be moving away from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan are said to left Princess Eugenie ‘upset’ after not attending the evening reception on Friday following the wedding.

The Telegraph’s Camilla Tominey reported that two sources have told the newspaper that Kate was ‘in tears’ following three-year-old Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fitting earlier this year.
An insider told the publication: ‘Kate had only just given birth to Prince Louis and was feeling quite emotional’.

Since the announcement Meghan and Harry would be moving away from Kensington Palace, there have been reports of ‘unease’ between Kate and Meghan.
A source told the Mail On Sunday: ‘Kate and Meghan are very different people. They don’t really get on.’
It comes after rumours of a rift between Kate and Meghan (above on her wedding day), following the announcement that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are moving away from Kensington Palace
There have also previously been suggestions that Kate and Meghan have ‘clashed’ over the way the former Suits actress treats Palace staff.
A source previously told the Sun: ‘Meghan can be difficult. She has very high standards and is used to working in a Hollywood environment.
‘However, there’s a different degree of respect in the royal household and Kate has always been very careful about how she has acted around staff.’
It had been widely speculated that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would move into Apartment 1, at Kensington Palace, next to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridges’ 22-room home.

But Harry and Meghan are believed to have not wanted to live next door to Kate and William, instead deciding to move away from the ‘goldfish bowl’ at Kensington Palace in order to raise their first child.
While there have been rumours of a rift between the Cambridge and Sussexes, Harry and Meghan are also said to have left Princess Eugenie ‘upset’ by not attending the evening reception of her wedding.
She and Jack Brooksbank had an evening bash at the Royal Lodge in Windsor on the Friday following the ceremony at St George’s Chapel.
Harry and Meghan had previously been expected to miss the second day of wedding celebrations, ahead of their flight to Australia on the Sunday.
The couple also raised eyebrows after they told members of the royal family that they were expecting their first child together at Eugenie’s wedding.
