IT may have been around for a few years – but the blush homeware trend shows no signs of going away any time soon.

If you fancy adding a pretty rose hue to your place this autumn, then here are my tips for getting the look on a budget. You’ll be tickled pink . . .

Prime seat: Statement pink furniture is all over Instagram. I love Primark’s £24 velvet storage stool and matching £10 drawers. The stool is almost identical to Made’s £129 version.

Or buy some cloth and upcycle old chairs.

Amazon has a range of pink fabrics that are perfect for the job. They start at around only £6 per metre.

Save: £105 on stool

Soft spot: With the weather getting colder in the coming months, I’m investing in warm and cosy soft furnishings.

B&M has a two-pack of pink waffle cushions for just £4, down from £8.
Dunelm’s £8 teddy-bear throw is among the cheapest — and cosiest — I’ve seen in the shops.

Save: £4 on cushions

Heads up: A headboard can really change the look of a bedroom quickly and easily.

Very’s padded pink option starts at £119. But if you are crafty, you can make your own from wooden pallets, foam and material.

I’ve found foam on eBay for roughly £20, and luxe velour material for around £8 per metre. Bargains.

Save: Around £90 on a headboard

Top pots: To give your home a pop of pink, on the smallest of budgets, pick up Wilko’s £1.25 Candy Cane tester paint pot.

It’s a fraction of the cost of the full £12 pot, and you should have enough to paint a shelf, drawer handles or some photo frames.

Save: £10.75 on paint

Success-ories: Accessorise with cute pink trinkets. Aldi’s £2.99 Summer Sands candle looks just just like a Yankee Candle, which cost £19.99.

The Range also has other great pieces including a blush LED bottle, and a rose-gold hanging heart, for under a fiver.
