The simple trick promises to save you almost a tenner on every 60 tablets, which will equal almost £60 by the end of the year.

All you need to do is grab your ice tray and three simple and cheap to buy ingredients.
To try this out at home you’ll need: 1 cup of bicarbonate of soda, then 1/4 cup of citric acid and 1 tablespoon of your favourite scented washing up liquid.
Mix it all together and then pour the grease-busting mixture into your ice tray, and leave to set overnight.
The mixture should make about 18 tablets which once hardened, just need to be stored in an airtight container until they are used.
The tip was posted on Instagram by our new favourite cleaning account, Mrs D’s Cleaning Reviews and is just one of many brilliant household hacks and tips she shares on her page.
In the caption, Mrs D added: "One homemade dishwasher tablets will only cost you 1p per tablet, unlike branded ones which cost around 17p per tablet, over time that can save you quite a bit of money."
