Harrowing footage captures the moment a young cyclist was knocked off his bike by a speeding BMW driver on the wrong side of the road.
Thonmoy Josh Dey, 22, was left for dead after the motorist sped away.
He's now recovering from a bleed to the brain, a nose "broken into multiple bits" and knee ligament damage.
In the distressing clip, he flips and smashes to the ground in Archway, north London.
And the medical student can't see himself back on a bike soon.
"I remember waking up in hospital and just asking what on earth happened, and where was my bike? I was so confused.
"I have seen drivers being reckless but never did I imagine I would ever myself have been hit by a car," Thonmoy told The Ham & High .
He added: "What shocked me the most was when I looked up the CCTV was the way he was driving – he was on the wrong side of the road.
"I could even see the guy's face – it looks like he's smiling like it's just a normal day. He hit a cyclist and ran."
Metropolitan Police are investigating the crash.
It happened on Easter Sunday at around 6.45pm.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Police were called at around 6.45pm on Sunday, April 21, to a car in collision with a cyclist in Swains Lane, Highgate.
"The driver of the car – a black BMW – did not stop at the scene. Enquires are underway to trace the driver.
"The male cyclist was taken to hospital. His injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
"There has been no arrest at this stage. Enquiries are ongoing."
