How did you become a witch? How did you learn about witchcraft? When people find out I’m a professional witch, these are always the first questions I’m asked. And let me tell you, back in my day, esoteric wisdom was not quite as accessible as it is now. You had to go to the library and dust off old tomes, or travel to a faraway shop that sold crystals and tarot decks and a random dragon sculpture. Or maybe you stumbled into an AOL chat group that was more A/S/L than H/C/E (that’s herbs, crystals, and esoteric knowledge, of course).
Luckily, it’s now easier than ever to access other witches’ wisdom, whether that’s through books, social media, or the ~magic~ of podcasts. Yes, there’s a podcast for everything, and that includes witchcraft. In fact, there’s a plethora of magically-infused shows available that explore witchcraft, tarot, paganism, and astrology, as well as niche topics like the business of being a professional witch/healer/spiritual entrepreneur. If you’re learning candle magic or simply marathoning ‘90s witch movies in preparation for Halloween, there’s a podcast that’ll help you tune in while you’re jogging, cooking, or pretending to tune into a Zoom meetings.
