The Bay is praying for a miracle as they wait for news on Tori (Penny McNamee), as she is being moved to Northern Districts hospital to be closer to her family. As the specialists plan to try and wake her up, Alf (Ray Meagher) is hit hard by the thoughts of how Grace would be affected by Tori not being in her life.
Alf is reminded of how he and Roo (Georgie Parker) struggled after Martha (Belinda Giblin) disappeared, and Martha is hurt to see the old pain come back to him. Thinking about the community support given to Alf and Roo during their time of need, Martha invites their friends to the house to wait for an update on Tori together.
It’s John (Shane Withington) and Marilyn’s (Emily Symons) wedding anniversary, but the two don’t want to distract from the current situation by renewing their marriage commitment. However, they are persuaded to do so by friends, so their quiet celebration helps to keep spirits up.
Meanwhile, Tori is being taken off sedation by the specialists as Justin (James Stewart) and Mason (Orpheus Pledger) anxiously wait at her bedside. Robbo (Jake Ryan) and Jasmine (Sam Frost) come with Grace to see if she will finally wake up, and they wait to see if she can breathe on her own.
As Leah (Ada Nicodemou) waits at the house with Martha, Alf and the others, she gets a mysterious call and excuses herself to take it. Stood in the hallway, she soon becomes wary of the person on the other end of the phone. She asks who they are, and her expression becomes grave. She quickly leaves the house…what do they want from her?
