Joanna Gaines is throwing it way back in honor of her birthday!

The former Fixer Upper star celebrated turning 41 on Friday with an adorable throwback shot featuring her smiling for the camera as a little girl.

“Thanks for all the Birthday love! It was a good day ?,” she captioned the image.

In the photo, a young Gaines smiles as she wears a frilly pink striped top with her hair pulled back. The future star is wearing sparkly earrings, and has a gap tooth, as it seems one of her baby teeth had recently fallen out.

“I can’t believe this was last year #happybdayjo,” Fixer Upper craftsman Clint Harp joked in the comments section.

Gaines kick-started her special day on Friday with a surprise breakfast in bed courtesy of husband Chip, 44, and son Crew, 10 months.

“Crew is ready to surprise @joannagaines with breakfast in bed.. happy birthday Joanna! #AkaMom,” Chip wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of Crew sitting on the couch.

Gaines seemed to love the unexpected meal, and later shared a photo to Instagram of Crew sitting in a high chair surrounded by pink, white and rose gold balloons.

“Sweet kids surprised me this morning with all my favorites: fresh flowers, hot donuts, breakfast tacos and a pretty color palette ❤️,” she captioned the image.

The reality star’s birthday came two days before the family celebrated baby Crew’s very first Easter on Sunday.

“I was either going to stick him in a patch of bluebonnets or carrots,” Gaines wrote on her Instagram story, alongside a series of photos of the tot playing with carrots in the garden.

Gaines also shared a photo of Chip picking carrots with Crew and daughters Emmie Kay, 8½, and Ella Rose, 12.

The couple are also parents to sons Duke, 9½, and Drake, 13.

Gaines opened up to PEOPLE last month about just how much little Crew has changed the dynamic of their family since his birth in June 2018.

“A year ago, he wasn’t in our lives. Now you’re like, ‘How?’” she said. “I think what’s so crazy about kids is by the time they hit the ground… it’s almost like we always knew he was coming, and this was his time.”

Since saying goodbye to Fixer Upper in October 2017, Chip and Joanna have since moved on to new adventures, namely a new cable network that will replace DIY Network in 2020.

“Our hope with this network is that it really feels like home,” Joanna said while speaking at the Discovery Upfronts. “I think when people come, they’ll find what they were looking for. Whether its design, gardening, cooking — that it resonates with people. We hope that people come, sit and they stay a while.”

Added Chip, “I can tell you that if you all will give us another chance, support us like you’ve done the last 6 or 7 years, we have a funny feeling that you won’t be disappointed. We couldn’t be more excited.”

Though the multi-platform media company doesn’t yet have a name, fans can expect long-form programming centered around community, home, garden, food, wellness, entrepreneurialism and design – as well as old episodes of Fixer Upper.
