IF you're quick to act, chances are your carpets can easily withstand some muddy paw prints and maybe even a red wine spill.

But you'd be forgiven for thinking that a splash of paint means you'd have to replace them entirely.

But it turns out, there is a way you can remove this stubborn stain – and you don't need a single cleaning product to do it.

Sounds good to be true? Well, one savvy TikTok user has demonstrated just how easy it is.

Sharing her incredible cleaning hack on her page, Kaytee Haas explained how she accidentally spilt some paint on her carpet while she was redecorating her home earlier this year.

She said: "This literally happened to me in our brand new house. I got paint on the floor and I thought we were going to have to throw the whole house away!

"My husband came up with this whole idea – and if you don't have a carpet cleaner, this is for you."

After she knocked the can over, Kaytee's husband got rid of the excess paint on the carpet by using a wall scraper.

Then, he poured hot water over the stain, vacuumed it up quickly and repeated this process until it was all gone.

And Kaytee was so confident with the cleaning hack, that she replicated the paint spill AGAIN to share it with her followers.

"Look at this," she said. "It looks BRAND NEW! Where have I been?"

Unsurprisingly, her video has racked up over 884,000 "likes" on TikTok – and the hack is blowing people's minds.

One wrote: "Love it! The key to cleaning up paint is to never let it dry."

Another replied: "That confidence when you just dump some paint on your carpet!"

A third added: "Needed this two weeks ago when I was redoing my room!"
