ANY pet owner will tell you they'll go to great lengths to make their fury friends feel loved and be comfortable.

But one crafty pooch lover has created the ultimate puppy sanctuary that would compete with even the most luxurious human retreats – and it comes complete with mood lighting and a portrait hanging on the wall.

Proud mum Natasha Hammond shared her transformation to the Mrs Finch Made Me Do It Facebook group after completely transforming the space under the stairs into a new home for her Cocker Spaniel, Coco.

Taking to the group, Natasha revealed that her dog as always slept in the same spot, however, she wanted to create a cosier place for her pup to escape to.

The new puppy hideout is equipped with a cosy bed and a box of toys, and even includes decorative items such as a hanging wall portrait and a vase complete with flowers.

Knowing Coco felt safest in the cage she previously slept in, Natasha attached the crate door to the opening of the hideout and even decorated the exterior surrounding the entrance with doggy paw wall art.

It's clear the crafty doggy mum put a lot of effort into creating the perfect home for Coco, and it seems to have paid off as photos show what looks to be a very satisfied Coco loving her new home.

The photos show the adorable Coco sitting proudly outside her new home, but wasted no time jumping right on in to enjoy her new cosy space.

Speaking of the transformation, Natasha said: "Coco absolutely loves her new home, in her home! She is at her most comfortable in a crate but it always looked an eyesore! Now it fits right in!"

And it seems other dog owners were impressed by the transformation, as the post as since racked up over 3,000 likes and almost 700 comments with people praising the new pooch paradise.

One person wrote: "Absolutely fantastic brilliant idea and looks amazing."

While another person stated: "This is the best dog house I have ever seen."

And it seems Natasha was even surprised by the positive feedback.

Later adding: "Wow wow wow thank you so much everyone, I’m absolutely blown away by your lovely comments. Thank you so much! My girl is so happy with her new space."

Speaking to FEMAIL, Natasha explained how the six-year-old pup has always been crate trained and has slept in a crate ever since they brought her home, with Natasha claiming "she likes it that way".

And speaking of the re-invented crate, Natasha said: "We have tried to remove the crate before we built this room and she hated it. She cried, paced and was extremely anxious. A crate, or now her enclosed room, is her safe place."

Natasha also revealed the pup has spent so much time in her new home as it provides much more space than the old crate, but still provides a safe and cosy environment.

For more home makeovers, this woman transforms her dreary staircase into a bright and glam space and it only cost her £28.
