Mizuno’s popular Wave Rider 10 has been the focus of a number of collaborative releases this year; from a military-inspired iteration with BEAMS, to a more muted partnership alongside Wood Wood. Now for Fall/Winter 2020, the Japanese brand has linked with DOE to rework the classic sneaker, drawing on inspiration from Mizuno’s native Japan and its love of baseball.

First introduced in 1997, the Mizuno Wave Rider 10 was designed as a forward-thinking running shoe that boasted innovative cushioning and responsiveness. Comprising much the same built as the OG sneaker, this latest iteration retains the DNA of the original, while also featuring the brand’s Wave technology in the midsole for an enhanced running experience.

DOE has replaced the traditional assortment of mesh and TPU overlays with a fully leather upper, which arrives in a crisp white and “Clay” red colorway — designed to mimic the look of a baseball.

Launching on October 29, the Mizuno Wave Rider 10 x DOE will be available on Hanon via an online raffle that can be entered here.

In other sneaker news, Concepts has kicked off its Boston flagship with two clean New Balance 992 colorways.
