After releasing a SB Dunk Low collaboration in August and crafting silk-covered [email protected] to accompany CLOT’s Air Force 1 releases in June and July, Medicom Toy and Nike are finalizing a busy year with a new SB Blazer Low. Although the Japanese toy company and Nike SB have a rich collaborative history dating back to 2004, this marks the two’s first go-around on any SB Blazer silhouette.
The trim basketball-turned skateboarding sneaker features a sail-colored upper made up of shaggy pony hair. Swooshes are kept tonal while heel tabs are done up in black with a white Nike spellout for contrast. Medicom Toy branding is present on the lateral heel and exposed foam tongue alike — the former features an embroidered [email protected] badge while the latter adds a white/black [email protected] tag.
Interestingly enough, there’s no real indication that this model is a SB Blazer instead of a Nike Sportswear model, save for a single Nike SB hit on the insoles. These insoles also feature an all-over [email protected] outlined print plus a text graphic, and the look is rounded off with a trim white midsole and traditional gum outsole.
Early reports place the Medicom Toy x Nike SB Blazer Low’s release on December 26, though this has yet to be confirmed by Nike. Information on a retail price is forthcoming as well.
