Finding the perfect housemate can be stressful, and making the wrong decision can result in months of tension and arguements.
So it’s important to be honest and open when meeting potential roomies, so there aren’t any surprises when moving day comes around.
But one woman took this to a whole new level by posting a long message online listing her VERY specific demands to warn off the wrong kind of housemate.
She warns that it’s not a sociable house, and the new housemate isn’t allowed to spent too much time in the phone or on the loo.
And it gets worse. She lists no fewer than 12 points which the lucky successful candidate must follow if they want to move into her home in Finsbury Park, London.
They’re not allowed to be in the flat during the day as he works from home, and cooking before 8.30am is strictly banned.
She writes: "If you have to run to the toilet 15 times a day or every 15 minutes, don’t move in here.
"If you say you don’t spend much time in the bathroom because you don’t take long showers but then you sit on the toilet several times a day (like the flatmate who’s moving out), and your only morning bathroom runs take almost one hour in total, this definitely isn’t the place for you.
"If all you eat is canned beans and cooked lentils and drink beer, you’re not my kind of flatmate."
The lucky new housemate must also promise to always use door handles rather than pushing doors open,
They must also have friends and "enjoy doing things" – so they don’t spend their free time in the flat.
He ends the message by saying he’s an easy-going guy, and reassuring the potential tenant that they will get on swimmingly – providing they stick to the rules.
The message was shared on social media and unsurprisingly people are outraged.
So, fancy living here?
